A Dog’s Christmas Wish List

Dec 18, 2025

Dear Santa Paws, It’s me again, your favorite four-legged friend. I’ve been mostly good this year (we don’t need to talk about the shoe incident), so I thought I’d write out my Christmas wishes just in case you’re checking your list twice.
At the very top: treats. Not just any treats, but the good ones—the kind that crunch loudly, smell amazing, and take a little extra time to chew. A surprise stocking filled with them would be ideal, and I promise to share… maybe.
Next up are toys. I’d love a squeaky toy that squeaks loudly enough to announce my joy to the entire house, plus a sturdy one that won’t fall apart in five minutes. A soft toy for carrying around and sleeping with would also be perfect. Variety is important.

I’m also wishing for more adventures. Extra walks, longer walks, and walks that include new smells I’ve never sniffed before. A new leash or collar would make me feel extra fancy on these outings. And if it’s cold, a cozy sweater so everyone can admire how cute I look would be appreciated.

Of course, Christmas wouldn’t be complete without comfort. I’d love a new bed, a fluffy blanket, or permission to nap in all the best spots, especially the ones I’m “not supposed” to be on. Belly rubs whenever I ask would be the ultimate luxury.
But my biggest wish is simple: more time together. More play, more cuddles, more moments where we just sit and enjoy each other’s company. Because at the end of a long and tiring day, being with my humans is better than any toy under the tree.

Merry Christmas, Love, your very good dog 🐶🎄

P.S. I have lots of friends at rescues and shelters who would love these things too—warm beds, fun toys, tasty treats, and most of all, love. If you’re feeling extra generous this season, maybe consider sharing some holiday cheer with them. It would make a lot of tails wag.
